Goals
PLVTT aims to educate parents and student-athletes on:
- Gun safety and responsible gun ownership
- The civic responsibilities associated with gun ownership and the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution
- The mental and physical demands of competitive trapshooting
Objectives
PLVTT’s objective is to provide responsible student athletes with a structured, disciplined environment to:
- Hone their marksmanship skills
- Grow as responsible citizens at the local, state and national levels
- Develop lifelong friendships with teammates and competitors
Benefits
PLVTT benefits the student athlete by removing barriers to entry into the shooting sports. It affords them the opportunity to develop interpersonal relationships with other student-athletes from across the complex high school personality landscape. Additionally, it allows the student-athlete the opportunity to develop his/her own talents in a highly competitive environment.
PLVTT attempts to benefits parents by reducing the financial burden associated with trap shooting.
PLVTT strives to assist the larger Papillion-La Vista community.
PLVTT enjoys a 100 percent high school graduation rate for its seniors with graduating students pursuing bachelor’s degrees, technical skills certification and military careers.
